Job Description

- Develop supplier strategy in AB2 material field (rubber parts and wire & harness)
- Check offers (e.g. for new parts, changes, sample orders) from suppliers, involving internal specialists (e.g. evaluation of technical deviations eventually in cooperation with PPx, compatibility with overall project frameworks (Q, C, D), initiate investment calculations).
- Plan and carry out regular supplier discussions for pricing as part of contract conclusion and negotiations on annual prices for responsible suppliers
- Initiation of capacity planning and implementation at the supplier

Qualifications

- University degree bachelor of engineering (mechanical engineering preferred)
- Minimum 3-4 years experience as technical buyer preferably in the automotive industry
- Fluently English language both written and spoken
- Be familiar with automotive related procedures (PPAP, several stages of sampling, release process...)
-Knowledge of Q systems such as QS9000 or ISO/TS 16949 is highly valued -Willingness to frequent travels (in China and possible AP), about 50%
