Reporting to the GL Accounting Assistant manager, this GL Accountant is responsible for providing accurate preparation of information involving compilation, consolidation, and high level analysis of financial data necessary to produce financial statements for Deckers’ subsidiaries in APAC.

40%General Accounting

Prepares monthly journal entries and maintains the required supporting work papers

Performs bank reconciliations

Ensures complete and accurate posting of balances from Oracle subledgers (for example, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, Cash Management and Oracle Retail)

Reconciles and analyzes balance sheet accounts.

Prepares month end accruals, including vendor, inventory, and expense accruals.

Prepares monthly rent expense journal entries, including deferred, fixed, and percentage rent.

Reconcile APAC interco to ensure balanced

Supports SOX compliance efforts

40%Reporting and Analysis

Assists in the preparation of departmental expenses including trend and budget versus actual analyses

Prepares work papers with account analysis and financial statement information.

Prepares monthly financial statements and management reports.

Develops special reports and ad-hoc analyses.

Analysis on gross margin report

20%Additional Responsibilities

May work on ad hoc projects as it relates to the finance and accounting department.

Assists with external auditors for U.S. GAAP and local statutory audit process.
