POSITION DESCRIPTION
REPORT TO:
Head of IT Application's Development and Support (Function);
Head of Shared Services Center (People)
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Developer will be transition into a Senior Salesforce (SF) development role as part of the SalesForce implementation and development team. Extensive training and development will be provided in order to aid this transition with potential travel to our UK or US offices. SF is one of the core development platforms in use. The applications developed are utilised throughout the business in full business lifecycle from Sales opportunities through to order fulfillment, shipment and customer support.
- Solution development on the SF platform.
- Understanding and translating business requirements in to technical specifications.
- Support of existing business functions and applications within the SF environment.
- Future training of new team members located in the China offices.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Essential Experience & Knowledge
- 5 years above experiences and very strong and proven development experience and knowledge of Java, PHP, .Net or other relevant languages.
- Strong Development background.
- Ability to understand non-technical business requirements.
- To conduct all units testing and report results and to be responsible for QA and successful release cycle management.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
Desirable Experience & Knowledge
- N Tier development methodology.
- Knowledge of QA tools.
- Methodology of unit testing and test driven development.
- Previous knowledge of the SalesForce platform.
Personal Characteristics & Attitude
- Willingness and flexibility in development methodology.
- Openness to new development languages.
- Strong character that is able to interact and understand business units and their functions as well the technical aspects.
- A can do attitude to requests and problems.
