Duties and Responsibilities:

o Serve as the primary interface to Business Unit leaders to align procurement activities with operating priorities in order to achieve defined business and financial objectives

o Develop and manage the global commodity strategy for Electronic Components commodity

o Guide the selection, development, and management of preferred strategic suppliers

o Conduct price and contract negotiations with contract duration on short, mid and long term horizon to guarantee security of supplies at the best conditions

o Maintain regular contact with internal and external interdisciplinary partners and working-/ project groups to recognize developments (market, demand etc.) and to exert the appropriate influence on decisions and processes

o Guide and perform supplier management: Supplier qualification, documentation and communication of preferred suppliers, regular supplier and strategic evaluations and supplier development in order to obtain and develop best suppliers and to ensure an optimum supply chain

o Define concepts for risk and contract management and drive the activities, which include risk reduction, implementation of alternate sources, and to avoid incurrence of warranty costs.

o Guide and manage the optimization of the supply chain regarding inventory levels, transport and lead times. Engage in the implementation of best in class supply chain processes.

o Organize regular business reviews to continuously rate the suppliers on defined KPIs (supply chain performance, quality, cost competitiveness, technology roadmap) to monitor suppliers’ operations and to define measures to develop the suppliers

o Implement material field specific benchmarking and best practice sharing with the internal organization, external partner companies, and with competitors to further improve procurement

Qualifications:

o Requires a BS Degree, preferably within business related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience within commodity management role

o Experience negotiating long term agreements preferred

o Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment serving both internal and external customers’ requirements

o Ability to lead and participate in cross-functional project teams while maintaining positive and productive working relationships across a broad range of people and groups

o Proven self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision; self-managed and self-motivated

o Ability to make decisions under pressure and against tight deadlines

o Strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively.

o Ability to manage priorities and stay on top of critical responsibilities

o Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn

2020年3月，美国食品药品管理局（FDA）已为珀金埃尔默研发的新型冠状病毒核酸检测试剂盒（RT-PCR）批准了紧急使用授权（EUA）。同时，该新型冠状病毒核酸检测试剂盒作为一种体外诊断（IVD）设备，满足欧盟体外诊断试剂指令（IVDD）的要求，并获得欧盟市场的准入资格，且于4月被正式列入WHO应急使用清单（EUL，Emergency Use Listing）。
2020年8月国际著名期刊《Nature Biotechnology》发表了关于全球获批新冠病毒核酸检测试剂盒性能对比研究：珀金埃尔默研发的核酸检测试剂盒，以0.009copies/μL最低检测限（LoD）的显著优势排名全球***，为全球最灵敏新冠病毒核酸检测试剂盒。
