Job Description & Qualifications The APA Product Strategy Analyst will work with global Product Development and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement robust product strategies to deliver increased volume and profit opportunities for the Asia Pacific & Africa markets.
Key Roles and Responsibilities of Position:
· Lead product strategy studies for APA region
· Prepare strategic proposals for review and approval by senior management
· Update market and segment strategies with input from vehicle line engineering, planning and other cross-functional teams
· Provide regional input to corporate platform, vehicle and technology strategies
· Conduct analysis of APA competitor actions and product plans
· Work with regional markets to understand product needs, aligning market-specific requirements with global product plans
· Support for other cross-functional assignments as the need arises
Preferred previous experiences / competencies to prepare for the position:
· Prior planning/strategy experience (e.g. product planning, business planning) and/or product program experience desired
· Strong interest/knowledge of automobiles and the automotive industry
· Strategic mindset
· Highly motivated self-starter
· High integrity with good attitude and excellent communication skills
· Strong analytical skill and ability to organize data for team
· Excellent interpersonal and project coordination skills
· Ability to understand both business and technical subjects/issues
· Microsoft Office expertise, including data modeling (experience with formulas and pivot tables preferred)
· Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management in English with presentation skills
· Cross-Cultural experience desired
· Flexible mindset for urgent requests from senior management
Education Qualification: Engineering or Business Degree, MBA preferred
Other Considerations:
· Flexibility for meeting schedules (early morning or late evening) due to time zone differences with other stakeholders
· Some international travel may be required
