Key responsibilities:
Travel to major Metro cities throughput the Region to:
Analyze, photograph, and document in computerized mapping systems (MIS, GMS)-the representation footprint of key competitive brands
Meet with government officials responsible for infrastructure planning-to identify key projects which will impact future growth patterns in that city
Identify natural (rivers) or man-made (differences in vehicle registration taxes, major roads or rail lines) barriers which would impede potential customer travel within the market
Meet with existing Ford dealers-to understand their capabilities, facilities, and possible growth plans
Work with the senior management, and Network Development teams, within that market-to understand their future sales volume requirements for that city.
Analyze detailed Ford:
Prospect and Sales data-to identify trends regarding the distances customers are travelling to shop, or purchase, our vehicles in that city.
Customer service records-to identify trends regarding how far customers are travelling to service their vehicles in that city
If available-analyze detailed competitive registrations in that city to identify areas where Ford is not achieving our fair Market Share
Using Ford sales & customer service data - and competitive registration info-identify "White Space" opportunities where additional Ford representation is required.
In markets which need to "right-size" their dealer networks-work with their management to develop consolidation plan which minimizes potential negative impacts upon sales and customer satisfaction
Create Market Plans which put the Ford network in a competent position versus key competitors regarding Throughput per Outlet within that city
Integrate with the broader organization-such as Sales and Ford Customer Service - for dependencies
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in business-or related field such as Urban Planning
5 years in automotive business-or Urban Planning
Sales or Service experience with OEM, Urban Planning
Strong analytical background, Market Knowledge in China or India
Good communicator-and ability to convert large amounts of data into actionable recommendations
Strong skills in MS programs especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with data consolidation.
Self-starter, emphasizes accuracy & detail oriented, also customer oriented.
Ability to interact with Senior Management
Problem solving, Analytics, strong decision-making skills
Comfortable working with numbers
Able to work in multi cultural environment, team player.
International travel required in this role
