Job Description
The major function of the position is long term manufacturing business analysis and planning, in term of stamping, power train and vehicle assembly in APA. Besides the position also coordinate plant manufacturing studies and input to Global Manufacturing Footprint Model and coordinate regular business review activities and Business Plan input. Also lead a small group to align on capacity/manufacturing studies.
Major Responsibilities
?Conduct footprint optimization study to support APA business growth and cross-region vehicle export requirement.
?Coordinate plants to find solutions for manufacturing planning issues and experience sharing within the region.
?Constraints analysis input to long term business plan.
?Connect to Joint Ventures and footprints to acquire the PTO information required and be the central coordinator of APA MFG
Business network.
?Be responsible for manufacturing operation data collection and input to Global Manufacturing Footprint Model.
?Based on plants' input, make strategic analysis to work out optimal solution of product/platform footprint development plan for the region.
?Collect external information for MFG working pattern enhancement.
?Plan manufacturing operations for key architectures based on best total cost approach to modularity, supplier locations (supplier parks) and in-sourcing/outsourcing strategies.
?Analysis of input/output of Annual Process for manufacturing in APA.
?Maintain the APA MFG Footprint intelligence (non-product FT&L target and status tracking).
Position Requirements
Preferred previous experiences / competencies to prepare for the position
Education Qualification
Master degree in Engineer, Manufacturing or similar
No. of Years of Experience With minimum 5-year manufacturing experience
Professional Exposure Good understanding/experience of overall PT production processes and manufacturing business environment.
Advanced knowledge of Capacity Planning and the links with other key functions, such as MP&L and PD Planning
Ability to conduct detailed Manufacturing planning analysis and conclude clear direction
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization in auto industry
