Job Description & Qualifications
APA Technical Planning Senior Analyst is responsible for establishing technical contracts or agreements with business partners (primarily China JVs) to support Ford business growth, by leveraging Ford technology and products, and maintaining Ford competitive advantages by protecting Intellectual Properties across APA region.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead in Engineering Services Agreements (ESA) development , through interfacing with program teams to obtain input on relevant engineering content and costs; and negotiating with JV partners.
Support Technology Licensing Contract (TLC) development and negotiations together with Business Strategy and Legal functions.
Develop technical documents as part of TLC product/technology specifications.
Manage TLC/ESA implementation and termination process including asset/tooling/equipment/IP management when product phasing out.
Evaluate appropriateness of disclosing select intellectual property to business partner. A rticulate key negotiation issues to drive systematic resolution of differences between parties.
Monitor, detect and resolve IPR violation issues (supported by Legal function).
Maintain JV billings forecast accuracy in the cycle plan and business plan.
Support implementation of technology governance processes across all operations.
Support trademark or patent related registrations and filings based on product/technology cycle plan.
Qualifications and Skills
Great sense on IPR, business operation, engineering financials and technical contracts
Excellent interpersonal skills to capture internal & external client requirements from a strategic perspective
Prior product program experience (engineering , project m anagement , purchasing)
Understand and respect differing viewpoints on an issue
Working knowledge of GPDS an advantage
Ability to interact with senior management
Strong communication skills in English and Chinese , both writing and verbal
Communicate a point-of-view clearly and logically
Strong teamwork
Highly motivated, self-starter
Ability to work within a very diverse (culturally and functionally) environment.
The willingness and ability to travel
