Job Description:

This position requires an individual contributor for Broadcom switch product. The candidate needs deeply understand software product requirements and finally translates them to software code with the proper process.

1. Architecture, design and development of the switch software in the different areas;

2. Cross-team interaction with chip architects, domestic and over-sea development teams and the customer system engineers;

3. Assessing stability/performance issues and identifying optimizations;

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate should have BTech with 12 years or MTech with 9 years in designing/developing embedded software or micro code for network processors or switch or router.

Strong programming skills and good exposure to software development and debug experience in embedded environment are required.

1. BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering or computer science engineering with a focus on data communication networks or the related majority;

2. Experience with software design, implementation, hardware/software partitioning, debugging, large code-base management is required

3. Experience with embedded environments comprising ARM / MIPS platform with Linux/ Vxworks as the RTOS and C / assembly language is required

4. Experience with chip bring-up and field testing is desirable

5. Knowledge with Broadcom Switch software is preferred;
