Essential Responsibilities:

You will be a part of a team that designs, implements, qualifies, and validates firmware/driver for future scanner products at HP Shanghai R&D center in China. Innovation is a key as you translate market requirements and business needs into a quality product that addresses the needs of our customers. You will be heavily involved in all aspects of the product lifecycle: Requirements, Design, Prototype, Implementation, Qualification, and Current product support.

Primary responsibilities will include:

1. Provide Software design/coding/integration for FW and driver level development for the scanner development team.

2. Using 3rd party development resources define detail software development requirements, communicate to 3rd party resources, develop milestone based schedule to assure appropriate progress, audit development to assure software meets design criteria milestones, assure tester are covering main attributes of software, work on bug fixes and test.

3. Active team member of the development team working on most efficient solutions to program issues. Develop and implement test plans for new and existing designs.

4. Investigate and provide countermeasures for algorithm or electrical induced image artefacts and other system margin and functionality deficiencies.

Qualifications

Essential skills include

· Strong team work and leadership within both technical and non-technical communities.

· Ability to organize people around technical and business issues and to resolution

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Basic understanding of a performance driven team environment.

Qualification:

Must

· 5+ years engineering experience

· Good programming skills in multiple languages such as C++, C, Java, scripting

· Experience in driver or COM development is a must

· Knowledge and experience in working with and development on Microsoft Windows, Mac and Linux.

Desired

· Scanner FW/Driver development experience.

· Image processing or image quality experience/background
