Lead Systems Engineer

Position Summary

The role of the Sales Engineer (SE) is to provide R&D skills and technical insight into Citrix solutions during pre-sales activities. Working with the Citrix sales team, partners and customers, the SE is responsible for identifying opportunities for the adoption of Citrix technologies and the development of solutions that meet the business objectives of customers.

Requisition:

This position is an experienced system engineer who will have senior R&D background and experience , have strong communication skills, so can leverage Citrix cloud partner to develop integrated solution base on Citrix technology. The role is involved with planning and prioritization of design and development activities to integrate third part application, Cloud platform and system using Citrix SDK/API.

Also, the role need have good presales skills and have good knowledge on Cloud/Virtulization and related skills, so can support key partner and customers.

Technical:

· Conduct tailored product demonstrations/installations to partners

· Act as a team lead in small projects and demonstration installations

· Provide technical assistance during the planning/preparation of trade shows and other marketing events

General:

· Keep updated with current technical IT knowledge via formal courses and self-study

· Participate in trade shows and other marketing events

· Contribute to the Citrix Sales Engineering knowledge capital

· Co-ordinate user groups in main centers

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities)

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

· 5 - 8 years plus years prior sales engineering or R&D experience in a high tech environment with a demonstrated track record of success in driving customer adoption of technology

· Undergraduate tertiary qualification minimum

· Expertiseinoneormoreobject oriented languages (e.g., C++ or Java), and one or more scripting languages (e.g., Unix shell, PERL, Java script);

· Extensive knowledge and discipline in software engineering process; experience as a contributor to complex projects, advising on design and development approach

· Expertise in Windows, Java and/or Unix programming required .

· Asa mentorandtrainer, guidethepartnerforintegratedsoftwaredevelopment.

· Knowledge and experience with Cloud/Virtulization environments and technologies, such as Public cloud/private cloud/Linux/KVM/XenServer, etc.

· Knowledge and experience with relational database technologies (SQL, schema design) highly desired

· Ability to apply a thorough understanding of Citrix products and SDK/API required

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft operating systems with the ability to install and configure machines, adaptors, sub systems, and applications

· Familiarity with enterprise networking including dial in remote accesses and WAN technologies, as well as client/server application deployment architectures and issues

· Understanding of business drivers for IT projects

· Understanding of project methodology

· Pre-sales experience and advantage

· Ability to travel within assigned territory
