Job Outline:

Be responsible for all operations business and customer services in UNNC campus under Estate office.

Qualifications

Essential

  • University degree in facilities services/administration management or related discipline;
  • Certificate in Facility management or property management is preferred;
  • Conversant computer skill (e.g. Microsoft Office applications, email and the web) and in depth knowledge of date analysis;
  • Strong communications and customer service skill;
  • Good command of both English and Chinese;
  • At least 8 years working experience in related areas;
  • Sufficient experience of being manager and team management;
  • Experience working in an academic environment are preferred;
  • Good understanding of relevant Health & Safety Regulations and policies;
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a clear and concise manner;
  • Seeks solutions and explanations;
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment;
  • Ability to work under pressure and to act urgently to requests;
  • Commitment to customer service;
  • Ability to work accurately and pay attention to details;
  • Excellent team working abilities.

Desirable

  • Master Degree is preferred
  • Strong ownership, delivery sense, flexible approach to duties, clear management awareness
  • Experience working in Sino-Foreign University is preferred
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Experience of working in an international setting;
  • To be responsible for managing all aspects of University’s Estates operations and customer services;
  • To provide operational leadership and management, oversee and evaluate campus facilities planning and daily operations;
  • To prepare and advise in the formulation of departmental annual budget and capital investment from Facilities services perspective, to ensure that all operations and customer services and activities are operated and managed at green cost effectiveness through comprehensive analysis;
  • To manage or maintain professional input in campus integrated facilities services, ensure and improve campus facilities services to meet customers’ demands with high satisfactions in community, to seek best value through consistent, professional and excellent services at all times including but not limited to:
  • Cleaning services, landscaping services, repair and maintenance services, events and activities support, teaching facilities support, daily moving support, mailroom, helpdesk and printing services, pest control services, catering services and related storage management etc.
  • To demonstrate a good understanding of how the services lines and functional operations collectively interrelate to contribute with providing the right solution to the clients and business;
  • To ensure customer satisfaction and provide customer interface for facilities and non-technical issues;
  • To collaborate with space team and projects team within Estates to deliver the services and infrastructures developments in smooth ways;
  • To communicate and network with other departments/stakeholders to coordinate requirements, and also gain the feedbacks from customers for services enhancement and further improvement;
  • To keep the Estates and others informed about work status of issues that may impact critical UNNC operations or strategy;
  • To participate in training and staff development, as trainer or trainee as appropriate, to develop and foster relevant expertise and awareness for global engagement;
  • To maintain a proactive and flexible approach to delivering work objectives and assisting other members in global engagement team as and when appropriate;
  • Any other duties appropriate to the grade and role.
