Overview of job
MediaCom is looking for an Analyst. You will be a partner with business science team to figure out market and business trends for companies to increase profits and efficiency. Proposing and implementing new ideas and product offerings. Business intelligence analyst gathers this data through a number of ways, from mining a company’s computer data through software, looking at competitor data and industry trends to help develop a picture of where the company stands in the industry, where they can improve and where they can reduce costs.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Head of Data.

1. Integration: You are not working individually! You will be working with different teams inside MediaCom to get problems done, cooperation among teams are super often inside MediaCom!

2. Comprehensive training system: You will receive direct coaching from agency’s senior members and training across all communication disciplines.

3. Part of an overall marketing team: You will be fully involved in the marketing communication process through working closely with client’s media and marketing communications team.

Measures of success –

In three months:

· Developed a good understanding of coding as part of each project.

· Formed an understanding of the client’s marketing strategy across China.

· Understood how MediaCom’s internal processes are run in line with our media partners within GroupM.

In six months:

· Had the ability to independently develop a dashboard.

· Learned the basics of MediaCom project dataflow.

· Independently respond to all day-to-day queries from internal and external client.

In 12 months:

· Taken control of the day to day management of different technical dashboards.

· Assisted line Manager in annual review/planning proposal for the client assigned.

· Kept track on the latest industry innovation and product development trends.

Responsibilities of the role:

· Dashboard creation, reporting and optimization.

· Proposing and implementing new ideas and product offerings.

· Client liaison and relationship development.

· Keeping a close ear to the ground on new opportunities to take to client.

· Helping advise the wider team on technical optimization.

What you will need:

  • Technical Skills: Business intelligence analysts use complex computer programs to mine data sources and look for trends. You should have technical background in your college, at least you have interest in it.
  • Analytical Skills: A major part of the job is to determine what data trends mean. Being able to analyze the data is crucial.
  • Communication Skills: Once the data is analyzed, business intelligence analysts must communicate their findings to the company or their managers.
  • Problem-Solving: Business intelligence analysts need to look at the data trends and recommend solutions for creating more revenue and reducing loss.
  • Time Management: Business intelligence analysts work on large projects and many data streams and many deadlines. Being able to juggle it all is crucial to the job.
  • Business proficiency in English and Chinese
