Position Overview:
Lead Supply Management (Procurement) within the Asia Pacific team including regional activities to support the local markets and global strategic sourcing for OEM Products. Provide coaching and developmental support to team members while balancing resources and addressing issues and barriers. Accountable for successful completion of Supply Management projects within region including upstream supply chain performance, responsiveness, revenue growth and cost productivity. Reinforce the team's utilization of standard work including project tracking and documentation. This role is also responsible for aligning activities within the region with global processes, along with collaborating on commodity strategies to achieve global, regional and local business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Lead Supply Mgmt / Procurement team for the regional organization with spend in excess of $100M - provide coaching and developmental support to team members while balancing resources and addressing issues and barriers. Accountable for successful completion of Procurement projects within responsible plants and countries within the Asia Pac region. Work cross functionally to align resources to support execution of projects to maximize impact to plant(s), countries and businesses.
Lead the global strategic sourcing team for OEM products within the Asia Pacific region in support of Americas and EMEIA business needs to grow revenue & improve profitability. Scope of spend $150M and growing significantly. Accountable for developing and executing global commodity playbooks, identification of suppliers with existing products, developing supplier partnerships willing to invest in Allegion relationship including co-developing new products, driving year over year productivity, improving quality and reducing working capital requirements at the targeted delivery objective.
Ensure team’s utilization of standard work including project tracking and documentation. Actively engaged with team members to eliminate roadblocks and escalate issues appropriately
Lead achievement of Supply Mgmt / Procurement goals and metrics for OEM products and within region including addressing any gaps to goals.
Develop Supply Management’s portion of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for the region. Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of Supply Management financial metrics, including productivity and inflation, within the Asia Pacific region
Ensure alignment of commodity strategies with global, regional and plant strategies and requirements.
Lead development of productivity pipeline across the region, engaging Commodity teams and other functional organizations.
Drive productivity through negotiation, contracting or resourcing with suppliers not covered by commodity responsibility or with business specific suppliers. Support the commodity team in data gathering, negotiating and contracting with local (language) supplier.
Drive employee engagement and development across the Supply Management Team
Drive supplier rationalization in line with commodity playbooks.
Partner with Supplier Quality to drive sustainable supplier performance improvements
Resolve systemic supplier issues (act as escalation level for materials team) for suppliers not covered by commodity responsibility or with business specific suppliers
Support New Product Development Team for supply management / procurement related requirements
Support M&A due diligence activities and lead integration action plans assigned to Supply Management / Procurement.
Participate as an active member of the Global Supply Management and the APAC Leadership teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or related field; Advanced degree preferred
7 to 10 years of increasing responsibility in the areas of Supply Chain, Procurement, Sourcing or related field, including supervisory experience. Relevant experience in manufacturing sectors. Demonstrated experience running large complex cross functional projects
Strong business acumen and analytical thinking, as well as strong project management and process development skills
Excellent communication skills, also in English language, with the ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels of a matrix organization
Must be a strategic thinker and have demonstrated experience driving strategies
Strong negotiation skills
Experience in supplier development, materials management, and/or supplier quality a plus
Experience in dealing with varied complexity and low supplier leverage
Strong technical aptitude. Good problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to travel up to 30%
