POSITION PURPOSE/SCOPE

This role requires routine pricing analysis and communication with business unit pricing managers/sales representative to achieve optimize financial performance.

This role takes greater ownership of setting bands and approving price based on data analytics. This role initiates price changes including mass price increases and performs analysis to identify and close price leakage capture opportunities. This role does this within strategy and partnership with a Product Lead who sets pricing strategy, escalation rules, price band methodology (e.g., targets, floors) and offer terms. This role is responsible for analyzing, recommending and executing pricing strategies and tactics and his/her work is intimately aligned with the business, customer, and market strategies to maximize value creation and value capture. This role must understand the business strategy, pricing strategy, applications and markets, and contract strategy to ensure alignment when approving and recommending pricing. This role requires cross-functional coordination and communication for efficient and effective process to execute product strategies through the commercial team (Sales).

JOB FUNCTIONS:

Achieve Business Results

1. Approve/Reject Pricing within Approval Level,

2. Work closely with Pricing and Product manager

3. Evaluate & recommend competitive pricing requests

4. Gather market pricing information from Commercial team/Pricing Manager whenever possible

5. Use Pricing Science/Analytics to help business “Win”

Evaluate & Resolve Pricing Discrepancies in Eastman system (SAP/Vendavo)

1. Utilize Vendavo/SAP system

2. Receive, evaluate and enter prices into Eastman system

3. Collaboration with Technical Marketing Representative /Customer Service Representative, as appropriate. Evaluate pricing agreement, approve/negotiate and document resolutions of Customer in Eastman systems

Manage Pricing, List and Off-list, including Revisions

1. Calculate, evaluate, recommend and coordinate price change announcements (list and off-list)

2. Assist pricing manager to make pricing strategy and execute it

3. Track related product and raw material market pricing trend

4. Update pricing in Eastman system

5. Manage pricing and provide quotation to internal customer (Sales)

6. Provide pricing related reports

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENT

Education and Knowledge Background

1. Bachelor Degree, Diploma or “A” level

2. Working experience in chemical industry is a plus

Business Skill and Experience

1. 3 - 5 years working experience. Ability to use SAP/Vendavo system .

2. Experience in working in an MNC’s environment will be helpful! Knowledge on company policies, procedures & SOPs; pricing process; Product and market; quotation process; material availability; Product/Competitor/Customer, and Discrepancy process.

3. Good negotiation skills; Written and oral communication in English

4. Possess good analytical skills and love to work with numbers(maths).

5. Financial background is a plus
