GENERAL SUMMARY (Describe the overall duties and responsibilities of the job):


Be responsible for program advanced quality, organize PPAP approval from customer, prepare & present monthly program quality status and drive resolution of OIL (open issue list).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance):

1. Responsible for APQP deliverables within Cooper Standard Launch System (Control Plans / parts inspection reports / gauge approvals / MSA / issue tracking & resolution / trial builds data capture / customer communication on issues / PPAP etc).
2. Prepare and complete the monthly reporting requirements to ensure the quality deliverables are tracked
3. Reporting & escalating deliverables which are behind schedule or are at risk of being not completed in time
4. Represent the Advanced Quality function within Program reviews and presenting the status and action plans
5. Prepare and present Quality status in launch readiness reviews
6. Control trial build samples quality and work closely with manufacturing quality and program team for problem resolutions and track till closure.
7. Ensure that customer and internally identified quality issues are resolved using the Cooper Standard problem solving methods (8D Report, Kepner-Tregoe, etc.) & prepare necessary corrective / preventive actions, follow up, verification and release of corrective actions
8. Assure that all Quality activities are performed according BOS-, TS 16 949-, ISO 9000 standards and specific customer requirements
9. Monthly quality status report for samples manuf/delivery and open/close NCT matrix.


REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).

Bachelor degree, majored in mechanical or related is preferred,
Above 10+ years related working experiences in quality field, at least recently in auto field.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those needed to perform the essential functions of the job).

1. Be familiar with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA.
2. Hands on experience of constructing control plans, PFMEA, managing trial build quality, defining inspection criteria etc.
3. Be familiar with quality system TS16949, internal auditor certificate is preferred.
4. Be familiar with basic quality control measurement instruments
5. Able to lead a team in basic problem resolution methods, like 5why, Ishikawa, G8D etc.
6. Good communication with customer for quality issues resolution, good team work with cross function team in the company, good communication with supplier for samples quality.
7. Good leadership ability.
8. Basic supplier mgmt ability.
