Sr. Client Manager, Beijing
Reporting to: MD, China
FITCH is designing the future of retail – seamless consumer experiences for an increasingly ‘omnichannel / O2O’ world. Established in 1972 with 16 studios in

Job Purpose:
? Represent FITCH’s infatuation with the future of retail and seamless consumer experiences – must be curious and passionate about the impact of design in shaping the future.
? Build relationships and add value to clients by becoming a strategic partner to their brand and business.
? Represent FITCH in being a creative, consumer-centric and ideas-led agency, responsive to the dynamism of the China market.
? Maintain, meet and exceed client expectations in overseeing the management and delivery of projects to budget and on time.
? Identify new revenue opportunities through client interaction and by
positioning FITCH as best in class, leveraging FITCH case studies, thought pieces
and expertise.
? Provide team leadership within the studio via a full understanding of the process and the ability to co-ordinate, motivate and inspire teams facilitating project delivery and profitability.
? To impact new business promoting FITCH as a desirable partner for omnichannel / O2O challenges and THE place to work for anyone interested in shaping the future of retail.
Overview of Role:
As senioir client manager, you will manage the delivery of projects, guide the strategic and creative development and growth of key accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership
? lead the development of client accounts demonstrating a full understanding of the client, briefs, requirements and deliverables
? lead and mentor more junior colleagues in the Beijing team
Strategic
? develop partnership with FITCH internal Strategic Planning and Insights team to best promote thought leadership to clients
? contribute to strategic positioning and direction of a brand programme or new business effort
? prepare and contribute to new business proposals for both existing and new clients
Client
? build relationships and rapport with key client personnel
? ensure that the agency perspective is clearly communicated and identify how to influence the client appropriately
? understand and consolidate client objectives, issues and feedback, and ensure this is communicated to the relevant parties internally
? manage client expectations at all times with issues tackled in advance and problems foreseen and resolved
Commercial
? prepare cost proposals with regards to defining the scope of work, preparing fees and timelines and scrutinising budgets
? working with other senior team members to identify opportunities to develop, grow and engage more deeply with clients
? oversee the team on all aspects of financial responsibility including budgeting, tracking, receipt of POs, managing debtors and creditors, monthly invoicing and revenue forecasting
Creative
? demonstrate sound judgement of creative work ensure creative teams are fully briefed
? develop partnership with the senior design team to act as sounding board on all work and identify best means of selling work to clients
Industry Knowledge
? maintaining a good understanding of the clients’ business and the major trends shaping the market
Networking
? harnessing resources and developing relationships with counterparts across FITCH, WPP and the industry
Professional and Technical Experience:
? Degree qualified
? Excellent written and verbal English and Mandarin essential
? Minimum of 5 years account management experience in related industry: design, management consulting, international retail management with some experience preferred within China or Greater China region
? Proven experience in managing large scale branding and design projects with 2D and 3D content preferred
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
? Proven experience in the management and development of new clients including presenting pitches and writing proposals
? Strong leadership skills and experience of mentoring staff
? Detail orientated and demonstrated exceptional organisational skills
? Proven ability to contribute to strategic positioning and direction of a brand programme or new business effort
? Highly skilled in all MS Office programmes and an understanding of the capabilities of Adobe Acrobat
? Proven track record of identification and delivery of new revenue opportunities from existing clients
? Strong experience of engaging, developing and retaining client relationships
