The Process Engineer provides process and technical expertise and support to the CASH Manufacturing Unit Team. Equipment Focus: Furnace, Cooler, Water Quench, Water Quench Filtering, Reheater, Furnace Entry Flattener

Responsibilities include:
Equipment Set-up, Measurement of Process performance and application of appropriate controls
Measurement Equipment
Process optimization and improvement activities…..Identify and lead..
Best Practice Sharing and Awareness with CASH Team and Novelis colleagues
Training : Material development and delivery
Consumables….Thermocouples

The incumbent is expected to have be knowledgeable in all aspects of thermal processes used on the CASH line, The incumbent is expected to be familiar in all aspects of metallurgy and processing methods of aluminum sheet including downstream (customer products and processes) and upstream (cold rolling and finishing, hot rolling and casting) to those processes performed at the CASH lines. An open, analytical mind is required. Personal contact with others and the ability to influence their behavior and decision-making, as well as technical ability in a variety of engineering disciplines is required. The incumbent must exert technical leadership and gain the confidence and respect of operators, supervision, management, customers and corporate personnel. The incumbent must be familiar with advanced control and computer systems as well as statistical techniques to monitor processes and products.
