Roles and Responsibilities:
1) Manage BOM cost by resourcing/localization activity driven.
2) Maintain an updated component tracking sheet.
3) Make sure that relevant supplier, commodity and purchasing information is documented as required for every purchased part in each project.
4) Involve new business quotation in PSC.
5) Pre-advise commodity managers of upcoming requirements.
6) Cross-functional team member by customer /product family.
7) Participate project cost workshop within PFT.
8) Challenge technical solutions with regard to cost and supply market aspects.
9) Monitor purchasing required information (e.g. supplier master data, component price, tooling) in system.
10) Responsible for purchasing deliverables in APDS and PFT.
11) Plant visits and supplier visits if required.
12) Introduce engineering change from cross function team if required.
13) Component demand forecast release to Division Buyer.
14) Monitor supplier readiness in APDS.
15) Create cost improvement plans in project lifetime as required.
16) Release and follow PO's for Samples prior to TG4 as required.
17) Support new project launch successfully from PU function as required.
Expected behavior:
1) Manage overall CTS BOM for project cost and drive saving by target according to PFT expectation.
2) Well known about ASPP & APDS process & demand, guild & coach divisional buyer to lead purchasing activities under feasible process.
3) Clear understanding demand from each function, be good at balance on benefits conflict.
4) Window for PU in project team and PFT.
5) Well known about cost analysis knowledge and challenge over-target cost for root cause and recover plan.

1) General knowledge of the supply chain
2) Functional experience in purchasing
3) BOM cost saving by target driven
4) Cost breakdown structure knowledge
5) Engineering/tech drawing understanding
6) Communication, negotiation and organization skills
7) Project management skills
8) APDS & ASPP process knowledge
