Under general direction, surveys assigned risks within specialty of engineer.
Perform project site surveys and auditing all departments as required by AIG guidelines (Project Schedules, Management & Implementation, Site Safety Management & Control, QA/QC, Method Statements, Inspection, Fire Protection, Emergency Response, etc.).
Identify potential exposures and present audit results to the Project Management Team focusing on Risk Analysis and Risk Improvement Recommendations.
Alert underwriters of any unusual risks associated with the projects.
Complete report writing in an accurate and timely fashion using AIG report format, loss estimation methods, software and AIG risk rating tools.
Provide technical assistance to underwriters in project reviews (Desk-To-Review), risk quality, loss estimation and alert underwriters on potential exposures associated with the project.
Stay technically versed in loss prevention topics specific to the industry being audited.
Assist claims by providing technical advices on open claims.
Good presentation skills and good ability to deal with senior and middle management at all sites.

Civil Engineer (Bachelor or Master) with construction experience on construction sites.
Knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures and techniques.
Good technical engineering background and loss prevention & mitigation skills.
Basic insurance understanding.
Good communication & interpersonal skills.
Language Skills: Proficiency in English. Proficiency in Chinese an added advantage.
Travel: Willing to travel up to 80 days/year. Be flexible in terms of working hours and working days as travel plans may require to leave on weekends.
