Myer Sourcing Asia Ltd., which is Myer’s sourcing arm, is looking for a Merchandiser for Childrenswear to join the Shanghai Global Sourcing team. Myer is Australia's largest department store group and has been synonymous with style and fashion for over 100 years. Myer has a valuable footprint of 67 stores in prime retail locations across Australia, which is complemented by our well-recognised Myer Exclusive Brands and supported by our recently enhanced online, digital and mobile platforms.

As the Merchandiser of Childrenswear you will report to the Merchandising Manager in Shanghai. You will be the primary contact for the Merchandising teams and Suppliers for the Childrenswear groups. You will be responsible for supporting the team for the sourcing of appropriate suppliers, costing, sample approvals, production management, shipment tracking and reporting.

Key job tasks/duties/responsibilities:
? Manage negotiation on price/MOQ/lead-time and order confirmation with vendors.
? Follow-up orders with vendors, customers and internal parties to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery.
? Maintain good relationships among factories, Customer, Quality Assurance and Control
? Maintain data in order following-up related IT system
? Follow the company’s strategies, assist the line manager to meet financial target.
? Can oversee/train assistant merchandiser in merchandising operation.
? Perform any other duties assigned by management


To be successful in this role you will need:
? 5+ years’ experience in merchandising, familiar with Childrenswear products, woven, Cut & Sew or knitwear product, experience with a fashion retailer or international sourcing agent is preferred but not essential
? Demonstrated experience working with manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors
? Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills
? Desire to own decisions and take responsibility for outcomes
? Willingness to travel when required & as necessary
? A confident and proactive work ethic
? Strong planning and organisational skills
? Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
? Fluency in English, and Mandarin ( Cantonese will be a plus point)
? Bachelor’s Degree/Tertiary Qualification is preferred but not essential
