Chief engineer for new energy vehicle development
Responsibility
？ Lead an engineering team to deliver technical solution of electrified vehicles
？ Define vehicle platform and attribute requirements
？ Responsible for vehicle integration to meet all functional requirements
？ Responsible for all technical decision making during product development
？ Responsible for meeting regulatory, material, cost and weight targets
？ Provide guidance and direction to subsystem leaders in a rapidly developing technical environment.
？ Identify the engineering resource need to support the multiple vehicle programs.
？ Provides technical leadership and development to other professionals
？ Provides creative solutions to major problems associated with projects
？ Organize and facilitate ad-hoc technical teams to solve specific technical problems
？ Capable of effective communication across all levels of management, and proficient in the preparation and delivery of results in technical presentations;
？ Report progress to the program management on regular basis
Qualification
？ B.S. in automotive, mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent. M.S. is preferred.
？ Minimum 10 years of automotive experience with five years or above in the development of new energy vehicles.
？ Minimum three years as chief engineer or equivalent with track of record delivering relevant vehicle or key system projects.
？ Deep knowledge in electrified powertrain systems and critical components
？ Familiar with all vehicle subsystems (chassis, body, interior/exterior, electronics, etc)
？ Excellent vision on future automotive technologies
？ Experience using automotive development quality tools (APQP, FMEA, 8D, PPAP)
？ Familiar with world-class product development process
？ Familiar with regulatory requirements, especially for Chinese market
？ Familiar with cost control and automotive light weight material
？ Proven record of strong leadership, program management and coordination capabilities
