Purpose of the role
The job holder will be part of Packaging development & R&D CPLC team and will be responsible for the packaging compatibility & Performance testing of newly sourced components from suppliers based in China. Packaging Scientist will ensure newly sourced components are of the same quality and perform same as global Oriflame standard. Packaging Scientist will support sourcing / Innovation project & align Oriflame testing protocol with China component supplier.

Pro-active approach to product testing through routine review & revision of existing test methods. Investigate, validate and implement new test methods and equipment as necessary.

Key Deliverables
? Project Management of specific packaging testing & validation of local development projects.
? Validate all existing STP, SOPs & documentation process as per global R & D process & global standards & create.
? All China developed component performance & compatibility testing for ASIA.
? Identified & arrange to set up relevant testing equipment.
? Management and resolution of relevant packaging related non-conformances. Approval of all relevant technical components.
? Coordination, approval and reporting of all necessary packaging/product component testing, via the Product Testing and Scale-up team within R&D.
? Coordination, approval and reporting of all necessary filling line and transit trials.

Network of Interaction
? Development – the job holder will support the Purchasing team and transfer team through the preparation of accurate packaging information (testing and benchmarks) for the purposes of obtaining value engineering opportunities.
? NPD – the job holder will support Oriflame China through the timely discussion of relevant new product and packaging developments and the inclusion of manufacturing requirements in the product specification to allow the most efficient implementation of new products into the manufacturing facility and processes.
? Distribution – the job holder will support the Oriflame distribution functions (warehousing and order picking) by ensuring that distribution requirements are suitably incorporated into the design and development of all new products and packaging.

Qualifications & Experiences
? The job holder should have a minimum of 3 - 5 year experience as a packaging material testing & validation in an appropriate new product development environment.
? He/she should be educated to degree level or equivalent from relevant university.
? He/she should be fluent in English and have experience working in an international / multi cultural environment.
? Preferred B. Tech & PDGM from IIP (Regular course).
