Walter in Shenzhen is seeking for a Sales Engineer
As a company with global operations, Walter Group is represented in all the major markets of the world. This enables us to implement machining solutions, particularly solutions for the special tools sector, quickly and locally at the customer's site. We see the issue of industrial health and safety as a basic prerequisite for high-performance production processes and these are just as important to us as sustainable environmental protection. In our production plants, we particularly put our trust in our junior staff who are trained in the Walter Academy, and we facilitate continuous further training in foreign languages, production technology or workplace design (5S).
The position would directly report to Regional Sales Manager, below please refer to the job description:
Key performance areas:
Improve the sales performance of Walter/TITEX, PROTOTYP and Valenite products in area to achieve company’s business target.
Responsible for the Walter tools sale and customer management in sales district.
Develop customer and distributor business to reach and exceed individual sales budget, and assist the sales team to reach and exceed the area sales budget.
Plan and prioritize the sales activities in order to optimize sales in the district.
Identify and develop new potential customers and distributors.
Introduce Walter products, tool performance and machining solutions to our customers. Demonstrate and do short tool test when needed.
Assist customers to select suitable Walter products.
Provide high quality services to our customers both before and after sales
Identify and develop new projects, incl. OEM, and follow the project management.
Carry out the distribution management policy strictly. Cooperate with distributor managers to standardize and drive and support the sales through distributors.
Responsible for the Walter brand marketing activities, in order to increase
Walter’s market share.
Responsible for marketing activities to increase Walter brand image and customer satisfaction.
Continuously improve customers’ productivity and lower the cost to improve customer loyalty.
Complete relevant work assigned by manager.
Set up sales planning to analyze and prioritize customers, make action plans accordingly.
Complete and submit sales report on time.
Decide the quantity and category of the test tools. Push to complete the test on time.
Sign contract with customer and provide following services.
Complete credit control target and relevant work.
Your profile:
College degree or above in mechanical engineering.
Minimum two-year experience of professional machining skills for CNC machine tool metal cutting tools industry background.
Basic sales skills.
Good communication skills and self-motivation.
Ability to work independently and willing to accept new challenges.
Basic English skills in listening, speaking and writing.
Willing to travel extensively
As a person you are proactive, self-motivated and one with lot of initiative, courage and integrity and a business minded, result oriented attitude. You also have strong communication skills and can work in an English environment.
