Responsibility:
Job Title Lead Chemist
Business Unit/
Function Energy Service Downstream RD&E
Main Responsibilities
1. Lead new product development and registration to fulfill the fit-for-purpose product line of Greater China for both customer requirements and local market trend.
2. Expand high quality technical services in both GC and AP regions for customer trouble shootings and field tests, especially in Refinery segment.
3. Align with global RD&E on innovation project deployment, regional VOC and VOB collection, and new idea identification for the local needs.
4. Communicate with Marketing, Supply Chain and Regulatory, etc. to support ES product maintenance and upgrade.
5. Partnership with corporate accounts (KAMs) to promote new technology sales.
Required / Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Agility to work effectively with multifunctional teams (i.e. Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and Regulatory, etc.) on country, regional and global levels.
R&D or Applied Technology experience in Chemical Process or Petroleum Process is required.
2. Advanced knowledge of product formulation; related to Oil&Gas industry is preferred.
3. Skill in instrument analysis and/or process simulation software is preferred.
4. Confidence to work with Sales for customer facing communications.
5. Project management experience to work with Business and Marketing and define/manage innovation project.
6. Open minded team player and also self-starter
7. Excellent in both oral and written English
Education Qualifications
Master’s degree or above in Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline, with 5yr+ work experience.
