Supervision Received:

Report directly to the MR&Coding Manager

Summary of Responsibilities:

Responsible for patient information release issues, maintain accuracy and completeness of medical records, assure meets clinic’s needs of requesting medical records for patient’s care purpose and abstracting of diagnosis and procedures. Also assist medical record manager in the efficient and effective management of MR office consistent with the medical administrative, ethical and legal requirements of the health care delivery system.

Qualifications:

College or equivalent educational degree, healthcare discipline preferred

Majored in medical record or health information management is an asset.

At least one-year medical record management experience in Chinese healthcare institutions.

With ICD-10 certification and Medical Record Quality Control Certification preferred.

English Proficiency in both reading and writing

Good communication and computer skills.

Must be capable in working in meeting tight deadlines

Experience in providing on-job training in medical record keeping to other staff is required.

Knowledge:

Excellent knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 Coding and methodology. Knowledge of Local Health Bureau regulation.

Responsibilities:

Lead team in EMR quality inspection and compliance audit.

Support manager in medical record department operations, schedule staffing shifts.

Participate in creating and maintaining the policies and SOPs of medical record documentation review according to Health Bureau and Jiahui medical record requirements.

Lead MR quality review reports production to MR Manager on a monthly basis or a frequency as MR department requires.

Participate in preparing medical records for Health Bureau inspection.

Lead training services to new onboard physicians.

Lead team and coordinate multiple Jiahui sites in providing ICD-coding service, training to clinical departments, indexing inpatient medical records for record keeping and archiving.

Travel required between Jiahui hospital and clinic sites.

Generates Daily/Monthly visits report of outpatient and inpatient

Other duties as assigned by that MR Manager.
