Responsibility:
Monitoring mainframe system console for alert messages
- Issue console commands to bring up / down susbsytems as requested
- Perform system startup/shutdown - IPL
- Monitoring batch jobs
- Job Scheduling using CA7, TWSz (OPC)
- DR backups
- Handling contentions & Space issues
- Priority/ Job class management
- Provide overrides & Restarting jobs
- Calendar maintenance
- Holiday Special processing/adhoc schedules
- Incident management: Error logging
- Handing over to L2/L3 support
Requirement:
- Change and Configuration management through testing and moving updates through various staging environments (ITIL Change and Configuration Mgmt.)
- Problem identification, determination, and resolution for product or usage of the product in conjunction with requestor (ITIL Incident/Problem Mgmt.)
