ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Work as part of a larger group to gather and develop standard operating procedures (SOP's), process documentation, and align course objectives.

2. Instructional Design
? Apply SOP's and process documentation to develop learning solutions according to course objectives.
? Develop course content
? Design instructional methods and activities that align content and instruction with performance objectives and organizational goals
? Develop entry and advanced level courses for both internal and external audiences.
? Develop training manuals and materials for both paper and web delivery.
? Develop job aids and other references to facilitate just-in-time learning at remote facilities.
? Demonstrate and utilize effective needs analysis, project management, course development, and evaluation skills.
? Able to utilize multimedia technology and authoring tools
? Design instruction for online learning.

3. Conduct training courses as needed.

4. Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


1. Education
? Required -- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, English, Technical Communications or related field.

2. Experience
? 1-3 years in Instructional design; developing training programs for adult audiences.

3. Familiar with:
? Macromedia Flash, Captivate, Fireworks, Dreamweaver or similar computer-based training authoring tools.

4. Skills and Abilities
? Utilize presentation equipment (Overhead projector, lightware projector)
? Develop Project Plans
? Work in a self-directed course of action
? Handle multiple projects concurrently under deadlines while working closely with many Subject Matter Experts.
? Respond professionally in situations with difficult employee/vendor/consumer issues or inquiries
? Good keyboarding skills
? Good detail skills
? Ability to learn and become proficient user of specific computer systems
? Intermediate level using Microsoft Outlook and Internet
? Effective time management & organizational skills
? Work independently as well as in team environment
? Effective, clear, and concise communication skills
? Possess excellent spelling, grammar and proofreading skills
? Analytical & problem solving skills
? Maintain confidentiality
? Must be able to work in a self-directed manner. Must be able to handle multiple projects concurrently under deadlines while maintaining working relationships with SMEs, stakeholders and other project team members.
