Responsibilities:
? Responsible for SMT resource planning - m/c capacity; layout; manpower plan of SMT team, work with production manager to
improve operator headcount ratio against machine.
? Continuous Improvement of Quality, Cost, and Delivery targeting single digit out-going dppm and drastic reduction of 7 wastes
through the adoption of Lean, advanced quality control/improvement and simplification techniques, and instantaneous
feedback system, etc.
? Drive and enhance technology know-how
? Improve production change over time to meet less than 10min target.
? Lead SMT engineering team to support production.
? Machine running cost reduction - m/c operator, spare part - by improving MTBF.
? OEE measurement implementation and drive for improvement (OEE - product quality, machine utilization and machine
efficiency.
? Reduce machine downtime by enhance preventive and predictive maintenance (against MTBF) and reduce repair
maintenance.
? Responsible for SMT indirect material selection and evaluation to improve the production running cost.
? Take a leading role to work and maintain cooperative relationship with other departments and ensure speedy launch of new
products, smooth mass production, and excellent customer satisfaction.
? Training and development of sub-ordinate staffs to enhance their effectiveness and knowledge.

Requirements:
? University graduate with major in Electronics, Production, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
? Minimum 12 years solid experience in electronic manufacturing industry; of which 5 years at supervisory / managerial level in
managing Production, Manufacturing Engineering and/or SMT.
? Sound knowledge in electronics manufacturing, manufacturing engineering functions such as SMT, AI, MI, PIE, and
production/material planning.
? Work experience in manufacturing employing ICT, FCT, and/or accelerated testing.
? Hands-on experience in failure analysis to achieve very low ppm and strong background in design for manufacturability.
? Good exposure and additional qualification in Lean/Toyota Production System and experience with Kanban system is
advantageous.
? Experience in managing Test Engineering is advantageous.
? Proficient in spoken & written Englishand Mandarin.
? Proficient in Japanese and/or Cantonese is advantageous but not required.
? Conversant on ISO9000, TS16949, ISO14000 etc.
? Familiar with China culture and labor law, and strong in managing local Chinese staff.
? Good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels.
? Self-driven with strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and sense of responsibility.
