Job Title: Sr. Web Designer / Interactive Campaign Developer
Contract Type: Regular, full-time
Job Location: Shanghai/Nanjing, China
Travel Expectations: 0%-20%

Position Summary:
The Web Designer / Campaign Developer, more specifically Email Campaign Developer is responsible for preparation and deployment of HTML and text email content as well as the dynamic integration into a proprietary email delivery platform.

Merkle provide professional Email marketing services for the world’s top commercial brands. We help marketers develop a more customer-centric approach, to fully leverage the potential of Email channel, the backbone of the most digital marketing programs.

Position Responsibilities:
- Dynamic content coding
- Content change management
- Link tracking and email deployment using proprietary email platform.
- Basic send and deliverability monitoring
- Uploading HTML/Text content to email platform
- Applying dynamic content rules and configuring link tracking
- Coordinating and communicating content change requests and production schedule with teammates in the U.S. and China
- Quality assurance of dynamic email
- Verifying dynamic content
- Meeting deadlines for content publication
- Serving as expert on email best practices and educating others
- Supervising junior teammates

Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in computer science, ecommerce, internet or relevant field
- Fluent in English
- Minimum 2+ years working experience in web front-end design and coding
- Proficient in Web development technologies and tools such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver
- Experience working with email development marketing platform, a plus, e.g. ExactTarget, CheetahMail
- Basic understanding in Email marketing
- Superior attention to detail
- Ability to function in a high pressure/high ambiguity environment
- Advanced organizational, time-management and work prioritization skills
- Passion for learning new skills, expanding experience
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
