Title: Radiology Technician (Junior)
Department: Radiology
Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing basic radiographic diagnostic procedures and for selecting technique factors and positioning.
Supervision Received: Chair of Radiology, Chief Radiographer
Supervision Exercised: None
Qualifications:
Graduate from Medical School of Radiology Technology Major.
Have the basic technician qualification certificate
Familiar general radiology procedures operating.
Skills:
Should be correctable to operate equipment and overview-developed films.
Ability to maneuver heavy equipment and withstand the weight of the lead apron on a continuous basis.
Able to perform moderate lifting and bending in positioning patients and equipment for procedures.
Must be able to commute to satellite facilities to work throughout the day as required.
Capable in written and spoken routine English, fluent in written and spoken Chinese
Knowledge:
Good knowledge in major of Imaging Technology of medical college. Have the basic clinical knowledge. Proficient in conducting the equipment and practicing the daily work
Responsibilities:

1) Performs all radiological diagnostic procedures and fluoroscopic examinations. Operates radiographic and darkroom equipment.
2) Provides explanation and instructions to patients. Checks accuracy of information regarding patient. Instruct patients regarding procedures. Obtains patient history for, fluoro exams, mammograms, etc., and asks about the possibility of pregnancy.
3) Assists the radiologists and physicians in performing radiographic procedures or tasks. Uses variety of radiation protection and shielding materials.
4) Maintains stock in individual x-ray rooms and responsible for restocking work area
5) Available for night, weekend, or holiday work as needed.
6) Participates in in-service programs, staff, and educational meetings.
7) Maintains patient confidentiality.
8) May be required to travel to other clinic facilities to perform radiology procedures upon demand. 举报 分享
