Targets
    
Serve as supplier quality liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Incoming Inspection, Strategic Purchasing and logistics. Leads the activities of supplier quality system assessment and process control audit. Manage day to day supplier quality issues. Work with supplier to improve supplier process to ultimately improve overall supplier quality and cost competitiveness.

Responsibilities

Lead the process of qualifying and selecting appropriate suppliers in terms of assessment of supplier quality system and process control.

- Work with Lenze engineering and incoming inspection to define and implement supplier outgoing inspection requirement and process for alignment with Lenze requirement and Lenze incoming inspections.
- Manage on going supplier evaluation and supplier quality level to meet and exceed objectives on parts quality. Responsible for supplier quality KPI including process to retrieve data, analysis and report, supplier corrective and preventive action request and follow up for completion.
- In conjunction with various teams, develop and implement supplier internal process improvement programs to bring supplier quality to next level and improve supplier cost competitiveness.
- Lead supplier non-conforming materials disposition process (rework, return, scrap, etc.) for timely disposition and minimization of potential exposure.
- Responsible for understanding developments and changes of international technical and quality standards (e.g. EHS, etc.) that may affect the technology, quality and applications of the commodities purchased.
- Actively participate the development and negotiation of quality agreement in the purchase agreements in accordance with Lenze policies, procedures, and approval authority. Monitor negotiated contracts to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Support supplier quality requirement for global sourcing projects.
- Use Risk Management to assess supply vulnerability. Develops strategies to minimize or mitigate risk.
- Assist in the training of other department personnel as required.
- On request of her/his supervisor the employee is obliged to execute special tasks not mentioned in paragraph 7

Profile
- Bachelor degree or above, in an electronic or mechanical subject
- Experience (minimum of 5 years) in managing supplier quality.
- Quality system and regulatory knowledge.
- Knowledge in process control: 6 sigma, FEMA, CP/CPK, control plan, etc.
- Understand the manufacturing process and critical factors for assigned responsibilities.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills (identify, analyze and resolve problems).
- Experience in World Class Continuous Improvement processes and methodology.
- Demonstrated track record for improving supplier quality.
- Must maintain high ethical standards to support a professional business code of conduct.
- Good communication skills. Good written and spoken skills in English. German is a plus.

- Strong interpersonal skills, with proven ability to effectively interact with multiple organizational units.
- Must be able to work on multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously, while acting in a decisive manner and demonstrating a bias for action.
