Job Outline
The role holder will be mainly supporting postgraduate research admissions processes and key events and activities organised by the Graduate School.
Qualifications
Essential
- Master's Degree;
- Excellent data management and analysis skills;
- Excellent planning and project/event organisation skills;
- Effective communication skills at all levels with strong oral and written skills in both Chinese and English;
- Strong inter-personal skills;
- Proven problem solving and decision-making skills;
- Good time management skills;
- Good learning skills;
- Experience of student admissions work in higher education environment;
- Experience of website design and copy writing, and setting up and maintaining social media platforms;
- Experience of working in a diverse and multi-cultural environment;
- Experience of data management;
- Experience of dealing with confidential information and/or delicate situations;
- Attention to detail;
- Confident, professional and proactive;
- Can-do attitude and strong service oriented mentality;
- Collaborative and flexible, and be able to improvise in necessary;
- Good team player as well as an able organiser;

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Process PGR applications in a timely manner and manage communication with applicants and academic units at UNNC to ensure the whole PGR admissions processes are run efficiently and effectively;
- Support and coordinate activities designed to facilitate conversion rate with PGR admissions by working together with PGR recruitment team, academics and other relevant parties;
- Be responsible for PGCHE administration activities including Intro Event and Workshop Administration, Allocating Teaching Appraisers, Coursework Administration, Maintaining the PGCHE Progress Records, Gathering and collating evaluations, etc.;
- Support the organisation and delivery of events and activities designed for PGR students, supervisors and early career researchers, including training support, conference organisation and social activities etc.;
- Design and produce promotion materials for the relevant activities, including posters, website or social media content etc.; to facilitate other communications and promotion activities at Graduate School, and cover for the Communications Officer if and when necessary;
- Review own practices regularly, seek to learn from other colleagues and relevant offices, and make positive changes where possible to improve and enhance students and staff experience;
- Participate in and contribute to discussions on Graduate School’s development, and make informed recommendations for improvements of services;
- Attend relevant training to enhance own skills and capabilities in delivering successful services, and share relevant knowledge and skills with team members;
- Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as appropriate to the role;
- Participate in training and staff development schemes as trainer or trainee as appropriate;
- Maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness;
- Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.
