Specialist RE Strategy - Data Management
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This role is to
? Support the Mapping Resources Manager to provide the most comprehensive and best quality data possible
? Ensure Ensure that the data we use is the best available given our needs
? Integrate external marketplace data with internal POS data
? Ensure the applicability and usability of data resources
Key Responsibilities:
Data sourcing & processing
? Stay current on new data types and sources, and possible applications for retail expansion strategy
? Support other location strategy team members with data collection and processing needs
? Manage relationships with data vendors (and interns) and ensure that sourced data meets quality expectations
? Support specific database development needs with own research and analysis
Scenario Testing
? Work with other departments to run scenarios on location data and POS data
? Special projects: Engage on other major cross-functional projects (as required)
Key Relationships:
? Internal: HQ & Region Real Estate Team, Region sales and Key Account team, Fi***ce, Business Intelligence / Strategic Planning Team
? External: External consultants or other data/information resources
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
? Communicate with others
? Planning and organization
? Manage relationships and diversity
? Analysis and problem solving
? Learning and self-development
Other competencies
? Advanced statistical methods and analytic techniques – experience with and expertise in:
? Large dataset manipulation and data mining
? Statistical analysis in business context: regression, predictive modeling, segmentation/cluster analysis, conjoint analysis etc.
? Spatial analysis on GIS system is preferred
? Solid business sense and critical-thinking ability – able to solve problems using both co***entional judgment and ad-hoc analysis
? Mature and credible interpersonal skills– able to quickly build trust and act as an influencer across the retail development team and related team
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
? 3+ years of general business experience – including extensive experience in a data analytics function
? Experience with a global consumer goods brand and/or modern retailer
? Experience in working closely with middle and senior managers across functions
? University degree or above in Math, Statistics or other quantitative subject
? GIS background is preferred
? High proficiency or expertise with database, statistical and business intelligence systems (e.g., SAS, SPSS etc)
? Strong communication skills
? Fluent in written and spoken Mandarin; proficient in English
KPI
? Effective management of vendor relationships
? Positive feedback from other team members on quality and timeliness of data
