Tasks /Area of Responsibility

Lead IL D&D department, set and achieve project design and development and department performance
target.

1. Responsible for product design and development performance of
Projects.

2. Review and confirm design and development targets with clear
definition of design content and expectation in line with Project
overall Cost, Quality and Deliverables targets.

3. Review and confirm the design plan of the product, coach and
follow up the design plan to achieve required cost, quality and
deliverables targets.

4. Effective communication with related stakeholders of the project and
other cross-function department.

5. Responsible for department business strategy checkup based on
Hella group global / regional vision.

6. Responsible for department budget planning and follow up
department expenses within approved budget.

Follow up project design and development deliverables within time schedule;

Responsible for resource management and follow up strictly the expenses according to budget and
deadline of the design targets.

1. Periodically review and monitor the project design and development
deliverables (Based on design and development plan).

2. Provide management support and concrete solution when escalation
for any deviation could exist, communicate and influence related
stakeholders to achieve alignment in behalf of Hella interest.

3. Make sure no delay to projects because of the insufficient
performance from design and development.

4. Ensure fully acceptable by HIS, and keep good communication
channel, and get well support from HIS>

5. Clearly know & understand, as well transfer the high & new
tech to local IL team.

Follow up the implementation of Hella design standards and guidelines or defined procedures / processes.

Responsible for Hella Know How, procedure and processes up-to-date.

1. 1. Make sure the implementation of all Hella Know How, procedures and Processes.

2. 2. Check, correct problems and improve according to existing Hella Know How, procedures and processes.

3. 3. Modify or update existing Hella Know How, procedures and processes when necessary.

4. 4. Significantly improve, change or adapt existing Hella Know How, procedures and processes when necessary.

Responsible for design department capability building-up.

1 1. Responsible for resource management including recruitment, workload management, career path development;
performance review, fiscal yearly target agreement, salary review.

2 2. Coach the project design team with design Know How and process to support set up capable design team with competent.

3 3. Responsible for setting up and implement the design leaders’ and supervisors’ readiness
assessment qualification;

4 4. Establish the training system for design department with support from HR department;

5 5. Responsible to define training plan for design leaders and supervisors and follow up the training implementation;
