Establishes, organizes, and determines work procedures and sequences, and work priorities for the department




Directs the planning, lay-out and performs machining operations and bench work on tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, etc.




Plans operating sequence; improvise and construct temporary fixtures and jigs, and perform critical bench work operations.




In the absence of specifications, design detail process from own conception and selects material, dimensional allowances for fit and tolerance material treatment, etc.




Works from complicated drawings, sketches, handbook formulas and specifications.




Selects material, sets up new or modified tools and dies in production machines for trial runs and instructs Machine Operator on their use, care and operational methods and procedures.




Work with senior staff in other Accuride global locations to enhance tooling capabilities and purchasing in the selection of vendors/suppliers and make decisions on which ones to use.
