Role Purpose:
We are looking for an analytically-minded, Digital Media Manager who possesses deep experience in direct buys, programmatic strategy, and paid social strategy and execution – across display, video and mobile channels. You will have the opportunity to be a part of an innovative, fast growing business unit focused on revolutionizing programmatic planning and buying, in the context of a multi-channel data-driven approach. We are looking for an innovator who understands both marketing and technology, and who can aid with identifying business objectives and corresponding digital media solutions resulting in engagement and consideration among our clients’ target audiences. This managerial position will partner with experienced digital marketers on the client side, including Directors and Sr. Managers, to build performance-based marketing capabilities utilizing Merkle’s digital media platform, data, and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
? Using your analytical mindset, you will be responsible for the strategy, execution, performance and reporting of the publisher-direct, programmatic & paid social campaigns for your client across multiple platforms
? Be the expert for the client on campaign performance and optimization providing insights into the best strategies and tactics to achieve business objectives
? Work with the data and the analytics team to provide dashboards and analytical insights to the client
? Leverage first party data for targeting and insights
? Oversee a (4+) specialists to train and manage their performance and professional development
? Coordinate assets and tags with vendors and ensuring campaigns are delivering against KPI’s and proactively managing campaign execution
? Responsible for overseeing client pacing & performance across digital media portfolio
? Media planning based on brief parameters and media strategy
? Recommend forward thinking strategies and innovations
? Proactively working with client services on campaign set-up and optimization strategy
? Work with the data teams to provide analytical insights to the client
? Proactively recommends projects to set up in order to respond the client vision and Global/local strategy.
This position reports to the Group Associate Director or Director.
Key Qualifications:
? 3-5+ years experience working in the digital media buying & planning space with focus a on programmatic strategy and execution
? Must have in-platform execution experience pulling the levers in DSP platforms (i.e. Google’s DoubleClick Bid Manager, Tencent GDT, etc.)
? Must love and be curious about data analytics and how that affects the bottom line
? Must be passionate about programmatic and the technologies used to support online and/or mobile advertising operations: audience management tools (DMPs), inventory applications, and third-party ad tags
? Experience with digital ads trafficking is required
? BONUS: Experience with Paid Social platforms like WeChat & Weibo (or oversea Paid Social experience on Facebook and Twitter)
? BONUS: B2B, High Tech experience
? Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
? Well-versed in the Microsoft Office suite specifically, Excel and PowerPoint
? Professional client communication, both written and verbal
? Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize responsibilities
? Ability to work efficiently in a fast-pace environment
? High level of accuracy and attention to detail
? Self-motivated, but also can work well in a team
? Ability to proactively organize daily tasks
? Keen problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
? Drive, ability to manage details, meticulousness
