Job Output:
The Chemical process engineer will work closely with plant leadership to successfully manage raw material quality, product formulations, process optimizations, quality trouble shooting and participate in the implementation of projects for existing production as well as introduction of new products and processes. Expected job output will include but not limited to the following;
? Participate in plant start-up and related activities
? Production process improvement
o Production process audit and improvement opportunities identification, and commute them into projects
o Lead the implementation of improvement projects to drive quality and productivity
o Production support in project implementation
o Project launch documentation
? Resolve daily production problems related to processes, raw materials and other impacts
? Support capital & process improvement projects
? Support new product development, project launch coordination with NPD
? Work with procurement team to resolve incoming material issues

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
? Investigate production issues due to process, raw materials or equipments and implement corrective actions as required
? Support capital projects from proposal phase to execution and implementation into production as part of a multi-functional project team
? Lead efforts to improve quality and productivity by indentifying opportunities and implementing improvement projects
? Develop and maintain relationships with both internal and external suppliers
? Project coordinating with other departments, cooperate with New Product Development and Quality
? Support change management process in facility
? Proactively support manufacturing and maintenance departments to drive productivity
? Actively participate in Armstrong safety program and promote safety culture in manufacturing facility


Qualifications Required
? Graduate chemical engineer or related degree with emphasis on process engineering
? Polyvinyl Chloride Processing knowledge
? Good command of oral and written English
? Strong analytical skills
? Modern Computer skills (MS-Office)

Qualifications Desired
? Prior work experience in PVC manufacturing is desirable.
? Knowledge of calender /extruder/mixing processes are desirable
? Project management skills desired
? Ability to learn quickly with proven track record of driving business results
? Development, planning and support of technical equipment
? Knowledge of web-handling
