Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the design and development of Automotive Body and Exterior Ornamentation components (e.g. Fuel Housing & Door, Door Caps, Underbody Shields).
• Planning for structure of vehicle body and exterior packaging, manufacturing, craftsmanship, and style feasibility
• Create and modify design of body and exterior parts to meet all engineering requirements, up through and including scheduling and releasing drawings
• Follow responsible parts through validation and launch including problem solving of technical issues
• Proactively improve design cost, quality, function, and weight for responsible models in production
• Execute design in CAD by instruction to CAD modeler or supplier engineer
• Lead and participate in cross functional decision making teams
• Participate in evaluation and manufacturing activities at the event location

Candidate Specification:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or related engineering major)
• 2-3 years of related experience
• General understanding and application of standard engineering theory and principles
• Automotive components experience preferred

• English communication (spoken/written)

• Technical presentation skills.

• Supplier management.

• Analytical problem solving abilities.

• Ability to effectively coordinate projects.

• Interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers, affiliates, and global team.

• Familiar with CAD (Catia V5)

• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Willingness to travel 10-25%, including international

• Willingness to participate in early morning/late evening conference calls
