Duties & Responsibilities:

Chartis Shanghai Analytics Center, with direct reporting line to Chartis NY Headquarter, provides quantitative analysis and analytical tools to various functional areas throughout Chartis/AIG Global.

The ideal candidate will be a professional with an experienced background in finance related web design, online interactive financial dashboards, and Active Server Pages (ASP). Interest in quantitative analytics, financial engineering and property & casualty insurance is a plus.
1. Create, maintain and lead development of professional online financial dashboard capabilities for insurance and macroeconomic analytics
2. Liaise with quantitative analytics team to present historical and projected insurance and macroeconomic Excel and Access models in online dynamic dashboard.
3. Analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations based on data analysis
4. Maintaining and creating robust online financial dashboard capabilities for Fortune 500 company.

Candidate Specification:

1. Bachelor degree or higher in one of the following areas: Information technology, computer sciences, management information systems
2. Skilled proficiency of data access component ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) / Data Access Object (ADO).
3. Expert in web design and Active Server Pages (ASP).
4. Experience with Microsoft's relational databases, Access, SQL server.
5. History of creating online dynamic financial dashboards with drill down capabilities.
6. Five to ten years of experience working in financial services industry, preferably with experience at top financial services companies, financial research firms, property/casualty insurance companies, accounting firms, or related consulting firms.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills in Mandarin and in English, overseas exposure preferred
8. Excellent analytical skills and interest in quantitative analytics.
9. Good interpersonal skill, strong sense of responsibility and ability to work with limited supervision.
10. Statistics/Actuarial modeling software experience a plus.
