JOB FUNCTION - SUCCESS FACTORS (Why job exists, what areas it impacts on, requirements to do the job, and Success Factors)

POSITION SUMMARY
Lead and resolve component related quality issues, support daily supplier management activities, including new supplier phase in, new component qualification, suppliers’ performance management, escalation and supplier disengagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
? Employee is in charge of training suppliers on our global supplier manual in order to implement them with all supplier bases.
? In charge of management for all suppliers PPAP’s ensuring on time submittals and all requirements have been met, as an executive summary.
? Responsible for management for all APQP projects via gate review. The APQP work book ensures suppliers can meet program requirements.
? Tasked with continuous communication with PM Manager in order to be deeply involved in resolving program issues and assisting supplier activities to be performed to accomplish launch expectations.
? Participate all design review and APQP meeting (in English).
? Participate in the supplier selection process while providing both technical and practical support for the Design team as necessary.
? Approve and follow up change management items.
? Handle 8D reports from supplier Travel to supplier in order to verify corrective action plan implementation for quality compliance.
? Responsible for appropriation of PPAP documents checked on plausibility and timing.

REQUIREMENTS
? Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
? Strong technology background in the areas of stamping, machining, and molding.
? CQI for special process requirements
? Audit skills as well as TS 16949 or VDA6.3
? At least 5 years’ professional experience within a large company.
? At least 3 years’ experience specifically within an automotive background preferably in a cross functional role.
? Thorough knowledge of quality and manufacturing tools such as APQP, MSA, PPAP. SPC, FMEA, CP, Poke yoke, Pareto analysis, cause and affect analysis, fishbone diagrams, Six Sigma tools can be applied and understood.
? Demonstrated communication skills both in writing and verbally.
? Strong communications skills in English.
? Ability to work with assertiveness and under pressure demonstrating strong analytical and proactive qualities.
? Excellent organizational, negotiation, and report writing skills in English.
? 8D report assessment and submission experience
? Experience in molding company is preferred
