POSITION DESCRIPTION
The global communications manager will develop robust external and internal communications strategy and strongly drive the programs execution to align with Global Consumer Devices and Appliances business units' goals and priorities. This role will interface with a global team and will have day-to-day control of managing the PR firm's direction and output.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Utilize market research, customer insights, competitive intelligence and internal business plans to develop external communications strategy and key programs to build up thought-leadership image in the industry.
- Identify external communications priority and gap, and establish communications procedure in driving the best exposure in the market.
- Establish best process in developing and maintaining good relationship with global media through media relation agencies.
- Identify and craft business units core competency story and proactively pitch story to the media.
- Develop key messages and manage media conference, workshops, special events, sponsorship programs and speaking opportunities.
- Oversee the introduction, key messages, press releases, technical articles for business units.
- In partnership with product management, sales leaders and product launch campaign managers, recommend communications tools to best attract target audiences as part of fully integrated campaigns.
- Develop internal communications plan for business units based on the communications gap in the organization; proactively propose internal communications campaign to business leaders to ensure key messages are delivered to employees timely and creatively.
- Manage executive communications, provide speech/presentation writing and message crafting.
- Manage communications budget.
- Develop measurement procedure to best quantify the communications outcome, create a scorecard.
- Collaborate with global and China corporate communications team, jointly build companywide communications consistencies and leverage shared strengths and resources whenever possible.
- Other related work assigned by his/her manager from time to time.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have minimum a BA/BS; communications major is a plus
- + 8 years of B to B communications, corporate communications and/or brand management experience in a global and/or technology- or engineering focused company.
- Solid experience successfully managing projects, PR agencies and influencing the media.
- Strong business acumen, knowledge of the customer, the competition and issues impacting business.
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication abilities. A convincing communicator with compelling perspectives and ideas that challenge the ordinary.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with online communications platforms
- An innovative thinker and creative problem solver, ability and willingness to challenge the status quo.
- Strong collaboration and influencing skills
- Strong inter-personal skills with proven track record of forging excellent relationships at multiple levels of an organization.
- Proactive, flexible, adaptable, open-minded, creative and a team player
- Agency working experience is preferred
