Synopsis:
As a tax specialist, you will join our Central Finance Team in EF China Head Quarters located in Shanghai. We are seeking a tax specialist to provide oversight and guidance with respect to EF China tax compliance and help achieve the company goal of tax optimization. The successful candidate must have solid technical skills, is deadline oriented, has the ability to multi-task and is dedicated to continuous improvement.

The role:

As a tax specialist in central finance team, your responsibilities will include providing tax compliance and controlling services to several EF entities in Shanghai and several subsidiaries nationwide. The major roles of the position include preparation of monthly BT/VAT filing, preparation of quarterly/annual income tax filings, communication with tax authorities, assistance on VAT reform practice. This position will require great responsibility, sound professional skills and good interpersonal skills and will play an important role in a diligent finance team.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare accurate and timely tax returns and reporting for Business Tax, VAT and corporate income tax and other local taxes for EF China entities in Shanghai and some subsidiaries located in other provinces;

· Tax relevant certificate/document preparation and internal coordination;

· Work with the Tax Manager to ensure the tax compliance for EF China operations;

· Deal with local tax authorities in China on daily tax enquiry, tax audit and other related issues and maintains a good communication with tax authorities;

· Monitor and implement the process of VAT reform pilot program for relevant entities;

· Assistance in interim and annual statutory audit by external auditors and prepare annual corporate income tax filing;

· Work with Tax Manager to implement and document intercompany transaction arrangement for group entities;

· Support TP contemporaneous documentation for required group legal entities;

· Work with the Tax Manager for group tax restructuring and tax planning projects;

· Keep up to date on changes in tax law, related regulations and other relevant items through current technical reading.

Requirements:

· Degree in Finance or related disciplines;

· More than 5 years professional tax compliance and controlling experience (MNC and service national service industry is a plus);

· Familiar with China tax laws, regulations and practice;

· Proficient in Microsoft office and finance systems;

· Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills;

· Capability to speak, read and write English;

· Detail-oriented and great potential to learn and grow.
