Supply Chain Development

Supply Chain Development (SCD) is *****'s commercial department responsible for optimizing customers supply chains. To do that, SCD's global team develops customized innovative logistics solutions that deliver tangible value. Thus, ***** is able to attract new customers, increase the satisfaction of existing ones and be recognized globally as a thought leader.

Description of the position

The SCD Consultant reports to the SCD General Manager and is responsible for assisting Key Account Managers and Strategic Sales Managers in delivering innovative and strategic solutions to existing and potential customers to deliver top-line growth and customer satisfaction to *****. The SCD Consultant is a recognized supply chain expert within the ***** organization and as such should be able to be aware and communicate new trends to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Support Key Account Managers and Strategic Sales Managers to develop winning value propositions. Review and provide input to account and win plans

Conduct supply chain strategy and review workshops with customers

Share knowledge on new trends with internal and external stakeholders and eventually develop white papers

Pool and understand customer needs to develop commercial innovative solutions

Represent ***** in Supply Chain forum as expert

Provide input to SCD tools/product development and methodology development

Supervise, as expert, complex supply chain optimization projects

Complete ad-hoc supply chain projects as requested by customers

Interact with the SCD global community to share your expertise and learn about new projects and initiatives to assist your regional target customers

Perform other position related duties as specified by management

Competencies required

Master supply chain management concepts

Awareness of new supply chain trends

Good business (including financial) acumen

Ability to communicate ideas and be able to understand and translate other's ideas into tangible initiatives

Proven facilitation skills

Expertise in supply chain optimization software

Ability to deliver quality analysis and presentations

Ability to work independently and also be a team player

Good project management capabilities

Expertise in some of the following industry verticals: retail, apparel, consumer electronics, chemicals, aid and relief, government and defense, reefer

Experience

Education and Experience

· Bachelors Degree in business, supply chain management or any other similar discipline required

· 6+ years of supply chain and/or logistics experience preferably in a logistics provider, multinational company or global consultancy

· 3+ years of consulting experience

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

Conference participation as a speaker
