Solid reporting line:
Purchase Order Manager, or Purchase Order Senior Manager
Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Orga-nization:
The Mission of the Purchasing Assistant Manager is to provide support to ensure the smooth operation within Purchasing team.
She/he will achieve this mission by:
? Support to structure a smooth operation process with Marketing and Sourcing dept;
? Effective communication with relevant departments; and
? Timely Solve problem within each order progress
Key Responsibilities:
Planning
? Maintain cutoff schedule and communicate range feedback to Marketing
? Execute Pull Forward requests from GSP
? Work closely with aSL on dual sourcing requests and proactively push for higher “China for China” . Provide seasonal summary for dual sourcing benefits
Purchasing:
? Order placement with 100% accuracy and monitor order confir-mation
? Issue supplier delivery performance report
? Track order management to make sure suppliers’ confirmed de-livery date is in accordance with customer requested date and shipment based on confirmed delivery date
? Communicate delay to related teams and reduce delay by all means
? Provide analysis reports as needed to Purchase Order Manager
Financial
? Maintain standard cost correctly in the agreed timeline in con-junction with Finance department
? Follow the overage/shortage delivery till it gets fully resolved
? Follow invoice issues till it gets fully resolved
Systems
? Ensure all POs are created in the system in a timely manner based on CRD and production lead time and communicate any is-sues with relevant department
? File e-claim for delivery shortage
? Lead HUB system harmonization among SCM teams to improve logic accuracy and daily efficiency, to develop new functions by coordination with related business teams to accommodate new business requirement.
? Manage RFC requests within PO team and communicate with IT for development and testing.
? Integrate HUB into SAP as a potential direction in future.
Key Relationships:
? Internal: Marketing Dept including MOPs and Category Merchan-dising; Inbound delivery, Order book fulfillment, Finance, Order management, Global Supply Planning, Sourcing and IT
? External: Suppliers, customers (for special programs only)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Competencies/Attributes
? A passion for understanding of SPORT along with the desire to translate this passion into building the adidas sports market in China
? Effective communication skills
? Negotiation skills
? Interpersonal skills
? Cross-team coordination skills
? Time and pressure management
Knowledge
? Strong knowledge and background of purchasing and operating and sourcing
? Self-motivated and able to work independently
? Must be thorough and possess a strong attention to detail
? Have certain knowledge of textile, footwear or sports product market in China is preferred
PC/Language/Other Skills
? English & Mandarin
? Strong PC skills
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
? University degree or college equivalent
? Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the purchas-ing/operation/sourcing department in a global consumer goods brand
