Job Scope:
Location Head : To manage CAN office overall in Sales & Marketing, Customer Service, Operations F&A and System

Job Responsibility

A. Management

1. Achieve yearly target for both SOC/COC in terms of volume, revenue and gross margin as outlined
    by HQ.
2. Achieve cost saving/reduction - Admin cost, Operations cost, Equipment cost, any other local cost.
3. Staff improvement and enhancement through training, learning and job rotation.
4. Manage Guangzhou office including the office and staff management and ensure compliance
    of regulatory issue imposed by PRC government.
5. Coach and develop local talent and prepare succession plan for all key position by setting up
    clear operating guidelines and procedures.
6. Increase knowledge and work quality in related field in preparation for higher career advancement
    in future.
7. Rotate staff position to ensure good conduct and to avoid any misdemeanor and/ or misconduct
8. Handle staff resignation, replacement, recruit and stabilization and try to reduce turnover rate.
9. Build good teamwork spirit by coaching and teambuilding activities.

B. Business:

1. Achieve market expansion.
2. Improve Customer Mix as per HQ’s instruction/guideline, which is to achieve:
a) better revenue and gross margin
b) volume stability
c) port-pairs requirement
d) expansion of regional and direct account base
e) more Light Cargo
f) better performance of logistics/ VAS to improve regular stable volume/revenue by port-pairs
3. Maintain and keep good relationship with VIP customers (SOC/COC).
4. Maintain good relationship with port authority, terminal, depot, shipping agent and competitors.
5. Expand market coverage by increasing market share and clientele base.
6. Explore and initiate new opportunities beyond Guangzhou/NPRDs area.
7. Explore and promote various VAS opportunities connecting service in/out from the port of Guangzhou and NPRDs.
8. Improve revenue and gross margin by port pair mix, upgrade, stable support volume, fulfill port-pairs requirement and expanding key VIP accounts for both COC and SOC biz (where applicable).
9. Monitor trade patterns, market, competitors' developments and government regulatory change, evaluate the impact and recommend actions to RCL senior management in HQ's interest.
10. Keep communication with the competitors and customers to monitor the market development and trends.
11. Regular discussions with HQ (Sales & Marketing Dept) to review and formulate agreed joint sales strategies and action plans to achieve sales targets.
12. Regular discussion with HQ to achieve smooth work process and process improvement based on "SOP".

C. F & A
1. Achieve new set of accounting criterion given to :
       a) debtor ageing
       b) account-receivable days
       c) bank balance
      d) submission of Cognos (Mgt Accounts, P/L & Balance) to meet and fulfill given targets outlined by HQ
2. Monitor the AR/AP to meet targets set by F&A dept/ HQ.

D. Operation
1. Good performance of data quality and timeliness in meeting deadlines in all aspects in both DCS and SAP as outlined by HQ.
2. Liaise with vendors and negotiate contracts on behalf of the company to maximize cost efficiency.
3. Ensure service integrity by close liaison with the terminal and other government regulatory bodies such as custom and port authority and region Ops internally - port productivity, waiting time for berthing/un-berthing at terminal and waiting time for pilot etc.

Required Competency:
Education : Degree from a recognized University and education for shipping & Logistics Business Administration

Experience (Years): 10 years of managerial grade in Shipping Industry with working for all concerned functions in shipping business. Ability to manage, motivate and lead a team in location to ensure its smooth and profitable operation.
