USA Down-Lite International Inc. is in need of an experienced Product Manager to be located in our Nanjing JiangPu office.
This position will require the individual to occasionally travel in Jiangsu, Anhui, Shandong, Hebei and Zhejiang Provinces.
MUST HAVE TEXTILE EXPERIENCE AND BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH AND CHINESE
SUMMARY
Work in conjunction with US office Marketing and Sourcing teams to ensure all items and accessories meet required specifications prior to production. This includes but is not limited to, lab dips for colors, fabric strike offs, fabric production runs, inserts, bags, labels and stickers.
Job description
Go-To-Market Process
? Work very closely with the USA Sourcing Manager to make sure all aspects of a program launch are achieved.
? Review time lines with USA Sourcing team and selected Vendor
? Review RMP with Vendor. - Make sure the vendor fully understands what expectations are for the product. - Ensure vendor has all accessory RMPs e.g. Inserts, VZB, all Labels. - Review test protocol with vendor
? Preview / Advise comments on pre-production and production samples - Review all color lab dips, artwork pre-production samples, and all samples for the assigned program. - Travel to sub-vendor/factory as required, for fabric, color, printing, and or pressing when necessary to achieve required results. - Review and approve all print proofs, labels, carton markings specifications - Review fabric reports to ensure compliance - Review 3rd party test reports with Sourcing Manager and vendor to ensure all requirements are met prior to shipping.
? Product Testing - Review 3rd party test reports with Sourcing Manager and vendor to ensure all requirements are met prior to shipping
? DUPRO inspections and Final inspection. - Travel to the factory for the initial production launch to make sure items are being made correctly and ensure quality meets requirements prior to shipment.
? Social Compliance Audits / Product Audits Assist USA team and vendor to schedule, conduct, and report audits. - Follow up with vendor to ensure they have completed all necessary forms, returned to correct person and scheduled as required.
Sample Review
? Assist USA Sourcing and Marketing teams to review all requested samples (based on assignment)
? Initial color approvals / sample approvals
? Ensure samples meet customer requirements/standards including test protocol (customer specific)
Quality Control
? Work with the inspection team to ensure quality products are being shipped from the factory.
? Based on program assignment, your assistance may be required for inspections of large programs.
? Program Roll outs / first shipment are especially important. Review 3rd party test reports with Sourcing Manager and vendor to ensure all requirements are met prior to shipping.
? Ensure that re-order quantities are meeting or exceeding required quality specifications.
? Maintain sample inventory for entire program to 1.5 years for reference
Communication
? Be available to discuss programs with USA Sourcing team. This may require some “odd hour” conference calls.
? Effectively communicate vendor needs, time line issues, and quality issues to USA sourcing team.
? Effectively communicate program approvals with USA Sourcing and Marketing teams
Product Development
? Assist USA Marketing and Sourcing teams to develop product for Spring / Fall Markets
? Ensure samples meet requested specifications/requirements
