职位描述：

The carriage of liquid hydrocarbons by third party vessels represent a significant risk to the BP Group. The purpose of the Vetting & Clearance team is to ensure that any vessel employed by the BP Group meets with BP's standards thereby managing this risk.
As part of the Vetting & Clearance Team, the V&C Superintendent will play a key role in setting mitigating measures where required to support business delivery in challenging marine environments. She/He will also be responsible for providing assurance to BP businesses and associates for marine related activities, through performing a combination of routine marine assurance assessments, vetting and clearance and providing ad- hoc marine advice and support.

1. Perform vetting and clearance activities, including assessment, screening and clearance of oil, gas and chemical vessels and terminals.
2. Conduct assessment of owner/manager and terminal audit reports to determine their conformance with relevant standards and their suitability for use by the BP Group.
3. Conduct risk assessments of third party marine assets for use by BP where these assets fail routine marine assurance assessments AND where the business is unable to find suitable alternatives. To set in place sufficient measures to mitigate risk to BP
4. Provide Operational Assurance for time chartered vessels and ensure delivery of HSE performance of the time chartered fleet.
5. Provide training to newly appointed V&C Superintendents and support the Regional V&C Manager in ensuring competency within the team.
6. Support the V&C Manager in ensuring consistent application of all marine assurance policies and procedures and provide guidance to BP businesses to ensure similar compliance.
7. Provide feedback to the Audit and Inspection team to support the development and promulgation of audit/inspection best practice with the objective of achieving global consistency of audit/inspection activity across employed and sub-contracted auditors/inspectors.
8. Contribute to identifying scope of current and future shipping and marine related activities, providing early marine advice to ensure compliance with the Group OMS, including involvement in projects/peer group reviews and pre/post start up audits.
9. In conjunction with other regional teams, maintain the iMAS database and other relevant sources in order to maintain accurate and contemporary information.
10. Provide vetting and clearance support and advice to BP Terminals. Charterers, Operators, Logistics Teams, third parties, BP contractors, and other shipping and marine activities as requested.
11. Provide assurance that BP Group customers are correctly invoiced for Vetting activities. To develop innovative measures in support of recovery of vetting costs.
12. Provide feedback to the Regional V&C Manager on regional compliance through internal reporting systems and direct inspection of all relevant marine standards.

Class 11/2 or 111/2 (Master Mariner) and experience as Master/Chief Officer on board oil, gas or chemical tankers- or- Equivalent professional marine qualification/experience with a shipping background with substantial experience in ship operations/management and/or marine terminal operations/management.

Knowledge of TMSA and OCIMF Marine Terminal Management and Self-Assessment
Lead Auditor qualification
Knowledge of risk assessment techniques
