Overview of job
The Director of Insights and Analytics will be responsible for driving the data, analytics and audience agenda across all internal teams and clients in China.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the CEO-Programmatic Business, GroupM

Measures of success –
In three months:
? Familiarize with Xaxis’s products and how insight and analytics role fits into the bigger team
? Motivate and support the insight and analytic team to ensure the success of campaigns
In six months:
? Work with client engagement team to drive better programmatic strategy on pitches
? Cultivate agency about audience planning and measurement
In 12 months:
? Drive the agency & client engagement with demonstration of insightful programmatic learning and data driven audience strategy
? Lead the insight & analytics to develop programmatic best practises and thought leadership
Responsibilities of the role:
The Director will have a primary responsibility for the continued development of our analytics offering in China, and the direct management of a team of analysts. More broadly, they will be expected to inspire and influence other internal teams that make use of data and analytics, such as the Optimisation teams.
The Director will lead the development of analytics studies, including but not limited to Attribution Modelling, Path to Conversion analysis, Audience Insights analysis, Brand Impact studies, Reach studies and Campaign Delivery analysis.
The Director will also play a pivotal role in Audience Planning, and Audience-related measurement and optimisation methods.
Finally, the Director will be expected to source and work with 3rd party vendors, ranging from technology providers through to data suppliers, to ensure that our data, insights and analytics methods continue to lead the market.
What you will need:
? A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or mathematics/statistics
? Strong analytical mindset
? Experience working with a range of different analytics methods, approaches and tools
? Experience working with 3rd party data providers
? Understanding of the digital media ecosystem and technology
? Extensive knowledge of all available ad tracking and ad serving partners in China is preferred
? Knowledge and passion for digital marketing (brand and performance)
? Strong presentation and communication skills
? Strong client liaison skills
? Team leadership experience
? Excellent Chinese and English skills (speaking and writing)
? 8+ years professional experience with analytics, research, digital marketing agency, ad network or other media companies (the majority gained while working in China)
