The Position
Reporting to the Sales Director, the senior sales engineer will develop sales of water and wastewater treatment plants and products in China across all Pulp and Paper industries.

Target markets: Pulp and Paper

His main responsibilities will comprise the following:

§ Conduct market assessment and identify target applications and key clients.§ Identify and develop new opportunities with appropriate selectivity.§ Understand client decision process and key success factors, as well as establish privileged relationships with key customers in order to differentiate our offer from our competitors.§ Ensure timely and reliable bid preparations with the Engineering Department and other VWS business units, and follow-up bid evaluation.§ Negotiate acceptable contractual terms and conditions before contract signing to ensure smooth contract implementation. Candidate profile
The candidate shall have 5-10 years track record of successfully developing sales of water or wastewater treatment plants in China for pulp and paper market.
He/she should hold a university degree in mechanical, chemical or environmental engineering, and demonstrate the following qualifications:
§ Extensive network of relationships with executives of clients, general contractors, consultants, and design institutes in China.§ Hands-on experience of industrial marketing (market plans, sales channels, promotion, etc)§ Good technical background in water / wastewater treatment.§ Hands-on experience of bid preparation and contract negotiation.§ Autonomous, aggressive and charismatic business developer § Strong interpersonal skills for easy interaction at all corporate levels.§ Strong oral and written communication, presentation and negotiation skills in English and Mandarin.§ Good analytical skills. Ability to make decisions and recommendations.
